How to use the Text-to-Speech Converter

Type or paste your text into the Text to speak… box.
Pick a Language and a Voice (male/female options vary by language).
Choose an Audio Format:
- WAV — highest quality (larger file size)
- MP3 — excellent quality, small size (great for sharing)
- AAC — compact and modern
Adjust Speed (0.5–4.0). 1.0 is normal; slower for clarity, faster for briefings.
Click Generate TTS.
Watch the status overlay (Queued → Processing → Done). When finished, an audio player and a Download link appear under My Text To Speech Conversions.
Use Cancel to stop an in-progress request, or Reset to clear the form.

Use punctuation—commas and periods help create natural pauses.
Break long walls of text into short paragraphs for better breathing and pacing.
Write numbers how you want them spoken (e.g., “ten thousand” instead of “10000”).
Expand acronyms on first use (e.g., “World Health Organization (WHO)”).
Prefer simple, direct sentences when using higher speeds.

Maximum input length: 10,000 characters per conversion.
Generation happens in two steps: Queued (waiting for a worker) then Processing.
If you change options (language/voice/speed/format), generate again to create a new file.

Can I preview a voice before generating?

Yes—select a voice from the list to play a short built-in sample.

What’s the best format to download?

MP3 works well for most uses (web and mobile). Choose WAV if you need lossless quality for editing or post-production.

My audio won’t play—what should I check?

Why do I see “Queued” before “Processing”?

Requests enter a queue and are picked up by available workers. As soon as a worker starts, the status changes to Processing.

Is there a cost?

The tool is presented as a free online converter. If usage limits or pricing ever apply, the page will indicate it.

Use Tab / Shift+Tab to move between controls. The Reset button is intentionally skipped from tab order.
Press Enter on Generate TTS to submit.

Avoid pasting sensitive or personal data into the text box.
Download and store your audio locally if it’s important to you.
Generated files and job metadata may be cleaned up periodically; keep your own backup.

Submission failed: Check your internet connection and try again.
Stuck in “Queued”: Wait a moment; if it doesn’t progress, press Cancel and submit again.
No download link after “Done”: Refresh the page; the audio player and download link should appear in My Text To Speech Conversions.
